Similar to the AF1 Crafts, these right here are another premium Air Force 1 release! The Nike Air Force 1 Flax comes out pretty much every year in low, mid and high variations. To me, these are an unofficial send-up to the classic wheat Timberland boots.
How Are The Materials?
These have a suede/nubuck upper with a leather/nubuck tongue and swoosh. The materials feel really good on these! Everything on this sneaker is smooth to the touch so I’m not even looking at grain or any of that, just overall feel and vibes. I can definitely recommend this for AF1 fans that want a premium-feeling shoe.
These come in the black AF1 box which usually indicates a higher quality release. These don’t ship with a deubré but they do include rope laces and feature a metal rivet on the top eyelets by the ankle. These little touches definitely help with the Timberland look!
How Do They Fit?
These Nike Air Force 1 Flax fit similar to other Air Force 1s; go a half size down. Ordinarily I get a size 10 in 99% of Nikes, but I went for a 9.5 on these. These are cushy and comfy and only slightly heavy feeling thanks to that big chunky midsole and hidden air unit. I will say that these have a slightly more snug feel possibly due to the materials, but not enough to go up in size.
These come out all the time and for whatever reason in the past, I passed on them. I’m glad I finally came around as I am thoroughly impressed with these! I think any fan of the AF1 is going to love these kicks!
